It was by no means easy for Pele to take the entire World by storm as a seventeen year old kid, he truely was one of the best players ever to have walked this earth, but, I have never had the chance to see the great one play, even on TV, so Maradonna gets my vote!!

This hand of god nonsense has to stop. The ball went in of his curly napper, heid, bonce, scone, head - whatever you want to call it. He even smiled at the camera and shouted "look no hands" so there`s your proof. Maradonna was THE legend.

exaclty, maradona. As i am sure i said before, maradona won the world cup almost single handed(get it! single handed? hand of god?!...). however pele was surrounded by superstars in that brazil team and it was very easy for him.

You have left someone out of your list. George best. However there is no doubt Pele is the greatest footballer of all time. Nobody even comes close to him.

2. Who was the greatest professional ?

For question 1 - the answer has to be Maradona who was sheer genius.
For question 2 - it would have to be Pele - who continues to be an ambassador for football all over the world.

who gives a toss what he does off the pitch. If he can do the business on the pitch it dont matter what he does off the pitch. He was a magician, a wizard. The stuff he pulled off was unbelivable. Just check out the tribute to him at the nou camp.
