I was just sitting reminiscing with my brother the other day, about our childhood and what-not. We were both children of the eighties and so the conversation naturally turned to our Atari 2600 and Atari ST and how much games have come on etc etc. Then we got talking about a game called Ballyhoo - it was a text based adventure thingy.

Anyway, cut a long story short, all that reminiscing has got me wanting to relive my childhood and rediscover all those long lost games.

So, does anyone know if you can still buy the old Atari ST, (and the games obviously) and if so, how much it would cost?

I had the 2600 until a couple of years ago and it dissappeared, i'm sure i've seen them being sold somewhere recently.

I tried to find an Atari ST emulator a while back, but couldn't get any of them to work.

Yeah, there's that route, I just thought you wanted the actual console.

Well, I'm sure there are some x00-in-1 thingies around which will do the trick, although the best and easiest way to go would be through the use of emulators and ROMs to play on your PC.

Not sure of any sites that cater for Atari Emu/ROMs though, best Google it.

Thats what I thought...is there not something you can buy that allows you to play them on a PC or something - like a converter thing?

Cos you can buy that hand held thing with like 200 odd Atari 2600 games on it cant you?

eBay would be the most likely place to find that stuff.

Don't think there's going to be many retailers keeping them in.
