Fascinating to see contract negotiations with players and to get a genuine insight into how a football club is run.
Main priority was to get a defcit of zero with the club accounts (debts of nearly £150 million !!) and then hope that success on the field would bring financial reward.
It goes to show that football clubs need to be run like a business and that even a club as huge as Barcelona have to cut corners and cap salaries, also that success on the field breed success in the boardroom and with finances.
Also the fact that Kluivert's wages amounted for nearly 10% of the entire clubs wage bill for the season !
Thought the death threats the president was getting from the 'Mad Boys' was rather shocking too.
Laporta drinking too much wine
'Dinho looking in nervously while they chat about the 'standard package'
"How is our boy Motta?" "On the beach."
Seeing Luis Garcia getting an assist.
