Started playing this at school now finding it very good. Who else here plays it and could give me some tactics to do?

I play for a team, but couldn't be bothered playing for school. Although this is only my second season.

When the bowler comes up to throw the ball, raise your bat slightly. THen as it travells towards you and comes nearer, swing your bat in the direction you want to score runs. It works 9 times out of 10.
Failing that, hit your own wicket, you get extra runs.
