Can't remember:

incoming = pop or smtp?
outgoing = pop or smtp?

Would it be:

[email protected]

or

pop.domain.com

same will be for smtp obviously.

Finally, was this all a waste of time if it's hotmail I'm trying to set up on my phone?

Also, Hotmail uses HTTP not POP/SMTP for it's mail anyway...

Yup, as Tyla said. I got a mailrouter.... one for my outgoing though.

in = pop (pop.domain.com)
out = smtp (smtp.domain.com)

Probably, as I beleive you need to subscribe to it to be able to receive it this way.
