Yup, if you wait you just miss out because the prices on the top end stuff don't drop enough to warrant a wait. I am glad I did what I did with my rig when I did it, should last me a long time yet. Couldn't be assed doing all this "Will add stuff when I need it" crap, wanted to go to town there and then so I knew I could buy games and play them out of the box on whatever settings I liked.

Sheepy, you started again did you? What did you do with the Rogue?

I remember when the 9800Xt came out. I waited and waited for it to drop in price, but it wouldn't. Now it's cheaper than before, but there's also a shatload of far better cards on the market, so I fronted some more cash and got a top-of-the-range model, which I'm confident will last a long time.

I started up again, BG are fun.

I migh take a gander at the laptop market, see how much it has changed in 2-3 months.

This has been in the pipeline for a while though.

My card still sells for as much over here as what it did when I bought it in Hong Kong last Novemeber. On the top end of the cards the prices very rarely drop and when they do it isn't by a great deal.

Well, I bought a laptop with the best portable graphics card in it.

Actually, the second best... damn x800.
I just find it stupid how technology becomes so redundant after a bit buy judging by your reaction (I didn't really look at specs) it is a beast.
