Ok, so this blokey has been approached by Chelsea or something, told Spurs he wants to leave, Spurs suspend him. All this a few days after the Ashley Cole thing.
Am I right in thinking Chelsea could be deducted 3 points before next season even begins or was this tapping up thing only about players?

Just read an article on Arnesen, thought this bit was a bit o' genius:

The unreliable source this came from (can't remember where) said they reckoned it would pave the way for King and Carrick to come to the Bridge, and that they were the reason we are going for Arnesen (so we have direct communication).

In response to the suspension of Frank Arnesen by Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea Ltd, the parent company of Chelsea Football Club, has put out the following statement.
“Chelsea Ltd made an official approach to Tottenham Hotspur for permission to speak to Frank Arnesen two weeks ago.
”Chelsea Ltd has been in direct discussions with Tottenham for the last two weeks on this subject.”
