This is two topics really, but I didn`t want to waste too much space, so here goes:

1) Crazy Taxi, reviwed at IGN - 7.1/10. It is said to have good gameplay, and is as addictive as the original, but unfortunately, all the flaws that the DC version had, like pop up and slow down, have been recreated precisely for the PS2 version. It is apparently fun, but doesn`t look like a PS2 game.

2) Fur Fighters has caught my attention recently. It looks like one of those games that despite its weird looks, and odd story, it could be insanely fun to play. I watched the demo on the PSM2 DVD today several times, and read the preview over and over. It should be out next week or the week after, and looks great.

The puzzles aren't overly taxing generally, but the levels are fairly large on the DC. The controls could do with a once over, but a different controller might see to that. The training level will keep you busy trying to get at all the upgrades using the correct charachter. It's not mind blowing stuff but it's good to sit and play without having to think too hard. I was happily immersed in it for hours at a time when I played it.

Personally I don't think it looks childish. It's got lush cartoon graphics, and supposedly a neat line in humour. I'm interested, but a little concerned about the gameplay. Anyone got any ideas on the depth of gameplay?

If Fur Fighters compares to the DC version then it will be worth playing, unless of course you hate cutesy platformers!

I will probably wait for another demo or review too. I must say though, that I think it does look exciting.

It looks fun - may not be the type of game for me though, as I'm not too keen on the graphical style. I'll wait for a demo or something first.

I wouldn't say it was *too* childish, but for me it's a borderline case. Though the advert in the PS2 mags had me in stitches!

Furfighers does look good. It was on the DC and now they have improved it for the PS2. The graphics have changed to the Jet Set Radio type graphics which are seem to have become very popular because of the cartoony effect. Furfighers is a great conversionm because it changes the game to suit the PS2. While Crazy Taxi is a straight off conversion no graphically enhances to stop the awful pop up e.t.c. On the DC it was very fun and as it was 15-16 months ago it really did look great , as the DC was 4-5 months old in the UK. Crazy Taxi 2 is coming to the DC very soon and that looks great. I dont know why Sony couldn't have made sure that Acclaim did a better job of converting it, not just converting it but improving the graphics at least. Crazy Taxi has been delayed for a month so the graphics may have been in for a little tweaking.

Possibly just a little :-)

What do you think of Fur Fighters? Is it a little too childish? I think it could be a lot of fun.

It seems to have put blood aside, and relies on fluff and stuffing getting sent in all directions by shotgun weilding kangaroos and penguins etc...

Do I detect a slight note of sarcasm in your typing voice? :-)

Its hard to keep up when there is such an overwhelming response. Anyway, this is the place to look if you want to see Fur Fighters in action:
