I formatted one of my computers yesterday and since doing this my computer is receiving a high amount of packets from our router. Visiting google.com will send me 2000 packets, where as on another computer in the house it will only send me 1 or 2.
After surfing the internet for about 15 mins I have an excess of about 4,000,000 packets, when I start to download something the speed is very slow (Around 15-35 Kb/s on a 512k connection) and the packets start coming in at around 8,000,000 a minute. After the download has finished I can download something but not surf the net.
Do you think it is my router, my NIC or the computer itself.
Any help would be appreciated.
