Real are a well known company for shareware and freeware on the internet. Real Jukebox is one of their finest audio programs. Real Jukebox 2.0 is available for free download from www.real.com, and is a multi-format media player for windows.

The basic player plays WMA, WAV, MP3 files etc. The sound quality is excellent, and the interface is user friendly and good looking.

The homepage of the real jukebox gives you the new updates available for download, lets you access your music, and gives you information from 'realguide', Real's guide to music on the web.

Before I talk about the good and bad points, let go through the different options available to you;

CD:
If you have an audio CD in your drive, real jukebox will detect it and give you a playlist. All the usual options are available, play pause stop etc., as well as random and repeat. you can also record the tracks from your CD to your hard drive.

Music Guide:
This gives you access to the latest and hottest music downloads on the net. There are special articles on different up and coming and well established artists, and news and downloads from the web. It also has links to related websites, such as music stores, and adverts from real networks.

All Tracks:
Is basically one large playlist of all the music files on your computer that are asociated with Real jukebox or player.

Genre:
All the tracks on your Pc or CD are split into genres, mostly in the genre. From here you can put tracks onto existing or new genres

Artist/ Album:
Displays tracks by artist or album ie. all tracks by Eric Clapton will be under 'Eric Clapton'

Search:
Search for music downloads, information, radio stations etc. using real networks' search engine.

Playlists:
Here you make your own playlists with any tracks you own on, you can choose an order, and add extra information about the tracks.

Radio:
Real jukebox will search for online radio stations that suit your tastes, and play them to you live on your PC!

Devices:
Here is where the fun starts! Install plug-ins for MP3 players, Windows media player, liquid audio and many more. Plug-ins for better headphone quality, surround sound, burning CD's faster or even visualisations!

Create CD:
If you have a CD re-writer, chose any music, of any file extension, too burn to a CD. you can create a personal party mix from your downloaded MP3 files too!

There are also other handy buttons, linking to realplayer8, real networks, a link to download or run jukebox plus, visualisation settings, and any other stand-alone plug-ins you have.

The most fun part must be the visualisations. See tranquil images in time with the beat, or even 'Anabelle the sheep' dancing to your tunes.

All I have said above is good. The only let down is slow loading times. An excellent piece of software!!!
