You want to play with your pet, make it eat it's poo and throw trees around. But constantly interrupted by "Food!" "Wood!" "Need more houses" from stupid villagers, meaning your creature goes off and does whatever it wants whilst you try to sate their over-demanding needs.
And the 3rd level/island removed your creature completely, leaving you to micromanage your way across the map.

I'll wait a while before B&W2, let the hype die before I buy it. I find Lionhead games sound fantastic, but end up a mediocre experience lacking content that was boasted about from the beginning by Molyneaux.

Yup. I was never into it myself. I loathe Bullfrog / Lionhead games. ALL of them before anyone says anything. Magic Carpet was possibly the most entertaning I've played. They're all technically brilliant, but I find the gameplay either lacking or samey.
I still cringe when remember the sample played while my broher played it, his whining people asking to be fed again, and again, and again, and again.......
From what I understand, the micro-management of the game sucks out any fun you might have elsewhere, his experience of the game at least saved me from trying it myself.

Yep awesome concept just a flawed delivery, never got past the second area, because of a bug that meant I ended up repeatedly flinging rocks over a neighbouring village to impress them and gain influence, then I got bored and couldn't be bothered to start over to get round the bug...
The entire game is doing the same thing over and over again.
