Which format takes up more room - MP3 or WMA?, I've completly forgotten.

Yeah I'd stick with MP3 as it's still more universally accepted by programs than WMA is.

WMA takes up more at highest qualities.
Then either go for WMA set at a high quality or MP3, its up to you. They are pretty similar really
