Watched on Sky last night. Rubbish.
I don't like Ben Affleck, as a rule, because he's mostly crap and his head seems to be a bit big, and once more he was mostly crap.
There were plot holes you could drive a rubbish motorbike scene through - like why didn't he remember Rachel that well, when he'd met her only days before where his memory was wiped from. Surely in his head, she would be the bird that turned him down only days ago, no?
The idea has potential, especially the sneaking of things out to send himself, when he knows his future - but these are supposed to be inconspicuous hings as mail is checked in and out, so how the hell did he get a passcard out - that wouldn'r be allowed.
Getting sick of John Woo's bloody dove now too. Oh look, here is comes out oft he light - wow! Rubbish.
And the ending, and changing the premonition he'd seen - if he'd always seen himself die there (and not in any of the other scenes in which his objects saved him) how would he have done what he did, without seeing a different future for himself - he was wearing the watch, after all. (Hows that for not making sense unless you've recently seen the film...)
Oh, and what was the point of fixing the machine before breaking it? Knowing it will lead to the end of the world as we know it he's already put a bug in it so it won't work, so why fix it before destroying it? No point at all.
Rubbish.
Of course, there were tons of plot holes; namely the obvious causality effect. And I agree with the signature dove thing, it's just crap. It's like Woo is trying to be all deep and philosophical whilst choreographing gunfights with spintastic, twist aplenty melee attacks. WOW

What, as opposed to all other Jean Claude films, that have been excellent? ;o)

Nah, that was pretty lame from what I remember.

His pre Hollywood stuff I love. Everything else sucks balls. Doves? Check, Face off between the two characters, check.
Van Damme.
