One of the best ideas i have ever seen in a film!!! A bus having to stay above 50mph otherwise it would explode, great potential for a good film.

The makers also 'saw' the reality of what they were doing. Trying to drive faster than 50mph seems something, that you would have thought anyone could have done. But could we? A busy road, with people. Quite a hard task, how long do you think you could drive on Britain's roads for above 50mph!!!

What i am getting at here is that the makers could have easily left this fact out. Allowing the bus to drive around all day, avoiding traffic Hollywood style. Not considering the fact that that is an impossible task, road congestion, traffic jams and hold ups.

Something that many good film ideas have been ruined with, the makers not considering all aspects of what they are doing. Need i name any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But what the posting is about, is 'faults' (they might not be) in the film. Things about the plot, that i either don't understand or are doggy in the film. Please shed some light, if you are interested or know what i am talking about?

In no particular order

1) The baddy had a camera on the bus, so he could see what was going on (escapes etc). And he let Keanu Reeves leave the bus. Then the next thing we know he is underneath the bus playing with the bomb. Now amittadly he wouldn't have know this (from the position of the camera) but he would have seen the people on the bus (A) looking around the bus for something (Jack) and (B) the hatch underneath the bus being removed to allow the people on the bus to speak to, and to help Keanu Reeves. Surely boom.........or not as the case may be!!!!!!

2) The fight scene on the roof of the train. How can a person be hit with a sign but manage to have a trigger removed from his hand (without being released, i may add). Thats impossible, surely trying just to pass the trigger to somebody would be a hard task. Never mind at 60mph (an estimate at the speed of underground trains).

3) And of course, the jump!!!! Wasn't needed, totally removed any plosability in the plot. What more can i say. That jump was massive, had no incline before it (the freeway was flat) and the bus was only travelling at 70mph. Not forgetting the fact the bus was fully laidened with people and weighed a lot to start with!!!!!!

I don't know about you guys, but when i see a film i always spot things like this. Does anybody agree with me? Or am i the only person on the fact of this earth that notices such things!!!!

Talk about any other 'faults' you have seen in a film. Off the top of my head Armageddon!!! There's loads there, but i wont write about them now.

To quote Homer Simpson:

"I saw this movie about a bus that had to SPEED.
It's SPEED couldn't drop below 50 or a bomb would go off.
The bus had to SPEED around the city, trying to keep it's SPEED above 50 all the time...I think it was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"
