Ok Im looking for flights on the net to Malawi, around the 10th of July... One is 4000 pounds and the very next day it is 879...

I mean how does that work? Last year they ranged from 560 to 2500 pounds...

Well, the 4000 pound flight may be the day before a big celebration worth going to or something, or it might be a holiday flight, whereas teh flight the next day is scheduled, and would leave anyway, even if there's only 4 people going on so they charge less to get more people on.

You'd think it'd be toehrwise, because if more people go on the otehr flight, then it can go, but if not enough people go, tehy cancel the flight and save money (because if only 50 people went on it, they would lose money), so they up the price so that if not as many people do go on it, they lose less money.

or something.

It's not the easiest thing to explain.

Nah... when it comes to airlines cheap does not equal crash etc... most planes are serviced at a limited number of centres which work upto the highest standards... its just global economics, ie airlines such as Kenya airways have lower wage requirements than say KLM or BA.

hmm... hadn't thought of that. Also i noticed that choosing KLM for some legs as opposed to Kenya Airways boosted the price.
