So it's my senior "prom" tomorrow for my sixth form which is sad in a way because it's the last time I'll see a lot of them as people are scurrying off to different universities or work or whatever, however instead of going out with a bang and having a kick-ass cider drinking competition judged by midgets in jumpsuits, we're having a cheap-assed Americano "prom". I also beleive we're going to have a superbowl, world series and a [insert typical American cliché event here].

However as if the Americanisms weren't enough on their own, people are choosing to follow the uber-clichés at this travesty of a leaving party. The countless amount of people who have vowed to wear a black suit & shirt with a white tie to look like that twunt from "My Chemical Romance" is staggering. The remaining males are either going to stunt around pretending they're in Reservoir Dogs (I will tie them to chairs and cut chunks out of their ears), smoking fat cigars and looking like businessmen or being pretentious with hip-flasks. There's nothing hip about them, who even uses the word hip anymore? Losers.

The females, however, seem to fall into slightly-less predictable sub-sections, but are still blatantly rubbish. There is a group of girls who base their entire existance of trying to be the skanks from "Mean Girls" (yes I watched it, yes it was for Linsey Lohan, shut up). Then there are the skanks, who will wear as little and possible and try to get humped by a teacher, the frumpy frilly-dress wearers, and the sensible black-dress cautious drinkers who will spend all night talking about "the next step".

As for me? I plan on tattoing my own eyelids with the popular slogan "Kill them all" before setting fire to the whole place. Misanthropy? Brilliant.

Well, all my mates will be there, so we'll have a good laugh, and it's the last time we'll all see each other inside the school - We go to the school before taking a trip to the Hilton in East Kilbride (sheepu's turf! I'm afraid), then we'll have a meal, a couple of drinks (I'll try to cut it down, I don't like drinking too much), I'll realise that actually I don't mind half the people there, then when we get chucked out, we all go round to my mates house for an ACTUAL party.

Wonderful.

Anyway, we all go on a bus to EK, and thus we have a good laugh, because bus trips are wonderful.

I can't wait for mine.
It'll probably suck (Because it's only 6th years, and I hate most of the 6th year girls, so that ruins things a bit), but it'll be awesome at the same time if you know what I mean.

see, that sounds diabolical to me...so if the opportunity arose, I wouldn't go. Simple.

I honestly don't understand why people force themselves to go to things they know they won't enjoy just because it's the norm. Pointless IMO.

We have our "prom" on the 1st of July.

It'll be alright I guess.

It's the last day of college tomorrow and year 13s are allowed to go at 12:30pm.

Planned destination after this time?

The pub. Woot.

Exactly. I don't get why people complain about "having" to go to things like this, then complain afterwards about how miserable they were.

Perhaps I am the one who should be sorry for being too stupid to spot that though? The trouble with reading anything whilst at work is that I'm in the wrong frame of mind, and take it too literally.
