This is my first ever post so have mercy!!(espesialy if this topic has already been discussed at great length)
anyway I was wondering what game endings made people feel like the game was worth months of thier life and which made them feel cheated! My vote for best game ending goes to link to the past on the snes (it shows what happens to literally EVERY CHARACTER IN THE WHOLE GAME!!!)It really makes you feel like the story has come to an end...no to be continued crap!!
worst game ending IMHO is...midnight resistance for the amiga(if anyone remembers that!!)you could only save the family members you had enough money for...yep you had to buy back your kidnapped familly !! forcing you to replay the whole game again to get them all...agagagagagah all thatway through a very tough game again!!!
still thats just my opinion so, agree? dissagree? get postin!!

CBFD had a big end cutscene! I don't want to give anything away so I'll use a little code I stole from Friends. Don't you remember at the end where you BLANK the BLANK? And become BLANK? Not to mention the BLANK of BLANK who you'll BLANK BLANK BLANK! Plus there was the bit after the credits where BLANK goes into BLANK BLANK and speaks to the BLANK.
Anyway I can't say what my favorite game was because it's so difficult. Freespace 2 had a superb ending which had all sorts of mixed emotional goodies (especially if you take the alternative route of not exactly "winning" the final mission). Fallout and Fallout 2 had equally excellent endings and Black & White is up there too. The list is quite large so I wont go through it all.
The worst game? That's easy I think (except I wouldn't class it as a game): Spooky Castle. It was an old game for the Commodore 64. It was a platformer in which you had to avoid ghosts but you couldn't jump, attack, move faster than the ghosts (infact you were slower I think) or do anything at all to get past the second screen (which was a challenge as it was because it was all luck really). So that was rubbish. Of course nowadays we get Ultima 9 which is a good competitor since it's the channel 5 of the PC world. The other 8 were great but 9 is literally unplayable to all but a select few and may just knock Spooky Castle off the top because of all the broken promises. Infact you know what, unless it manages to start working at some point, it does beat Spooky Castle for the position of "worst game I ever tried to play".

My favourite ending is the Majoras Mask one!
ANd I think my least favourite one would be...umm...I dunno really the CBFD one was a bit borin because it wos just a black background with small red writing in the middle of the screen but dont get me wrong cos the game is one of the best I have ever played!
