I dropped the gear into third. I had my foot on the floor. This was the time. I was going to break the land speed record! But as I aproached the middle of the bridge I realised there was a dog! But much worse...it was dangling over the edge of the unfinished bridge!
I hit the brakes, and skided round. I then reversed. I got out of the car and grabbed the dog's paws. I tied the stretch cable to it's paws, and to my car. I then got back in the car. I turned on the radio. I floored the car, and the tyres skided up dust as I drove away.
I appraoched some road patrol. They told me to step out of the car. I punched one of them and nicked his hard hat. I then walked around my car, and realised I'd forgot about the dog. I untied it, and drove away.
