I must admit i did watch some of the first series of Big Brother and i thought yeah this passes the time could be better though. But now they have brought out a second series I realise what is the point of watching other people live, can we not live are own lives better. The rating big brother gets means a lot fo people do not have much of a life because what they like to do is sit down a watch a bunch of strangers eat dinner, go to sleep and use the bloody toliet. Well that sounds like fun.

An plus look at all the lates game shows and how much money they win rather then a measly 70 grand. You have survivor-i million pounds, the mole-200 grand, and many more.

So I think like me you should boycott big brother, that will screw up channel 4's plans.

I wouldn't hold your breath I don't think it will get any better.

And why do most people watch it? It's obvious.. everyone wants to see some action in the bed!

I never watched Big Brother, because to me nothing about watching normal people live is particularly appealing, but I remember everyone else going on aboul what 'Mel' said to 'Craig' or whatever, and not being able to believe how sad these people were.

I also think the Big Brother Auction was a disgusting attempt to cash in on the unbelievable success of a boring program

I think I watched about three episodes in the last week of the last series (wish I didn't) and admit I watched the celebrity one because Jack Dee was funny to watch, I am not even going to watch the new series because well its sad, boring and crap.

Because a person is clever, but people are stupid.

Anything new on tv, any new trend and most will sit there.

Plus it's been hyped and rammed down your throat from tv, radio, papers, magazines....anyone would think that this programme had any relevance in life.
Which is doesnt.

And who remembers the original people?
Z-Grade celebrities now that will fade away if they havent done already.

Waste of time, thought and eye-movement ability

Thank goodness I'm not alone. I don't mind the series - I'll watch it when there is nothing else to do. But today I just sat in front of the TV and watched E4. Very interesting conversations they were having. I then thought. Why is this so appealing? I have more fun doing the stuff they are doing myself. So why is it so popular?

Is it because they lead more interesting lives then us or is it because we want to see what happens next? I can tell you what will happen. A few people will break down in tears wanting to go home. There will almost certainly be some romance. Some people will make startling confessions. Some weeks they will get lots of extra spending money other times they won't. Some one will get ill or hurt themselves. A chicken will fall ill. 10 people will get evicted and there will be one winner. If its that simple why do we watch it? Why?

Yep, it's another case of 'cash in on a successful idea' scheme.

Isn't it sad that so many people spent so long watching a pogramme, in which the greatest highlight from ten weeks (was it eleven?) of viewing, was somebody having a pencil and paper with them.

If one more company jumps on the bandwagon to produce a show involving "Several young people retricted to a particular envirornment, with weekly expulsions" then I'll.... get quite irate, I suspect.

What's that new one? Desert island one (there's an original idea..), with the rather excessively elaborate voting process and the 'extinguish your flame' thing. It has to be the worst yet. How on earth is it possible to take up nigh on half the show with the voting out process?
