Still, nice to finally be home...

Implementing chips at a guess :D
However, the helpdesk seem to be going out there soon, so that should be interesting...
...that said, pretty much all other financial companies are sending their jobs to India anyway. I saw Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Thompson and many other business out there, so soon it will be them talking to each other.
Oh, and I worked next door to a very large Intel building. Too much security, otherwise I'd be tempted to see what they were up to...
Our accounts payable department was one of the first functions to go. Now I love it. Typical phonecall will go something like...
"Hi I'm Bob calling from Company-X, we have an outstanding invoice that I'm chasing up."
Me:"No problem, I'll just put you through to our accounts payable department, who you won't be able to understand and who won't understand you, so your chances of being paid are between slim and none. Oh and slim just died. Putting you through".
Hope it all works out for you.
Oh, I see what you mean...
...India. 5 weeks of training Indians to do my job, which I will lose in December. It has been pointed out to me that a flaw exists in this idea somewhere, however:
1) I got a free business class flight
2) I got living allowance which meant I could buy lots of cheap cds.
3) I got to see the Taj Mahal on a weekend off.
4) I got to see a country I might not have gone to otherwise
5) I may just be able to get a better job at the end of the year anyway.
So everybody's happy. Still wouldn't recommend the 12 hour working days though...
From the title of this topic, I thought the war against the Crazy Frog was taking off.
Can we anyway?
