I cannot believe that you expected us to get this. How many people place Roman Numerals at the front of their mind with the exception of maybe Maximus.

I know.

I at least wanted him to sprout claws and attack.

I guess his superpower was the ability to mobilise an entire nation through the power of words

Malcolm X, yeah I saw that.

How the hell did he get in! He had no super powers whatsoever.

There's no way he deserved his own film before other, more worthy X-men.

Man, I can't believe I have to explain this!

The film is called American History X

X is the Roman numeral for 10.

If the 'X' in the title represents the Roman numeral, rather than the letter, then American History X would have been the tenth film in the series, preceded by:

American History
American History II
American History III
American History IV
American History V
American History VI
American History VII
American History VIII
American History IX

I was asking if anyone had seen any of the earlier films.

I'd better also tell you that it was also meant as a joke.

Mind you, I'm looking forward to American History XI ; )

I've seen the film but all I can think of that he might be talking about is the 9/10 cats prefer me tagline. Strange person.

Anyway great film. Ed Norton is fantastic. Ed Furlong is pretty damn good as well though.
