He's such a stain...He just comes round without notice, which i'm sure is in breech. I've been here 8 months and in the last 3, this is what he's done.

- Advertised our house for rent BEFORE telling us tennants.
- Told me he was coming round on a Thu, so I stayed in, he didn't turn up, he comes round the following Tue with the new tennants at 10am
- He tried opening my bedroom door (they all have locks on) and only knocked when he realised my key was in the door.
- Made me show people my room when I'd just woken up and when my boyfriend was asleep in my bed.
- Moans at me about the bathroom when he knows I never use it (i use the upstairs one)
- Tells me he might make us pay for a cleaner out of the deposit, even tho the house was a state before I moved in
- Has crappy furnature and lumpy matresses.

AND TODAY, he came round with a plumber and started work on the upstairs bathroom, so I thought 'ok, I'll use the shower downstairs' only to find out he had shut the water off. I had to get ready for work and I went MENTAL. Our conversation went like this...

ME: In future can you let us know when you are coming round
STAIN: I left a message on the answerphone.
ME: what? we don't have an answer phone and the phone doesn't work anyways.
STAIN: I told you I was coming round the other day
ME: No, you said the plumber was and you didn't tell me what day or time.

Grrr..I HATE HIM I HATE HIM I HATE HIM

If you do then enforce it! Tell him to get lost and call next time or you'll call the police and report him as an intruder!

If he tries to do it, cos at the moment he's threatening it, I'll put up a fight, and since it's my mum's money she'll go mad.

Erm, there is 2 guys and 2 girls, as far as I know at least 2 of them use it. There is hair in the plug hole. I tried explaining I never EVER use that bathroom, so I don't know the state of it and he said 'you gotta work as a house'

Yep, if it says he needs to give you advanced warnings then you win. If not, you lose.

Yes. It p!ssed me off most when he just tried to open the door. If he had have done and I'd have been getting dressed he would have soon regretted it.

Still, only 2 weeks and I'm outta here. Our new landlord lives in Spain, so it's all good.

Not illegal, just not nice.

Illegal. Has to give you proper details of visit.

Super-illegal! The fact that he's let himself into the house without your permission, then tried to get into your room...

You being stupid, you should have told him to go "hmmm" himself.

Who uses it? What's wrong?

If you can get enough proof of this the he can't take the deposit. Just get loads of people you know to say they saw the house when you moved in.

Illegal again, he can't let himself in.

Talk to your solicitor, sod the reference. You can get this guy funked over.

Thats what he did in the end, after he heard me moaning (very loudly) about him to EB.

I suppose it depends on how the original plumbing was done. In some houses it will be possible to cut certain parts off but in other houses you'd have to shut off the entire system.
