The way in which the characters are afected in different ways tests their characters and the realtionships and emotions everyone display in the film are incredibly realistic and it really adds to the atmosphere of the film
A classic film of strife and humans' capability for survival throughout the most harrowing ordeals of their lives. Considering it was made in Thailand and filmed three years after the war it substitues the Vietnamese environment very well
Almost makes you want to sign yourself up for the forces, until you see the Russian Roulette scene, suffice to say that then your armchair and bucket of popcorn (not literally) will be infinitely more preferrable to a sub-machine gun and army gruel
Epic in its time proportions, weighing in at 3 hours. Thanks to the length of the Channel 4 advert breaks the film cut off (3hr tape) about 20 minutes before the end, instead of an epic climax I was treated to constant offerings of 'Crazy Frog'
The film was bloody brilliant, I don't care what anyone has to say in opposition to that, though you may offer your opinions. I think I'll be adding this to my ever-growing DVD collection
Just watch it
