My dad has just decided to get BT Broadband and get rid of Blueyonder. There is a good side to this, and a bad side.

The good side is that I also get to change the TV to Sky+ which is much better than my current Telewest service and also because my dad works for BT he gets 1MB Broadband for £12.99.

Thats all well and good but the the bad side is that I dont know when they'll be changing the lines, my dad is saying something like the phone line will be connected by Friday then we will have an account number and we can order the BB kit to set up.

I want to know how my dad will be getting the kit, will they send him it by post or does he have to go and collect it or something?

When it's all changed will I have to change anything to my Xbox Live account seeing as Blueyonder use a cable to connect to the internet and BT use ADSL?

This might mean I wont be on Halo 2 (online) when I get it which is REALLY bad news.

You'll have a different IP everytime you connect to Broadband, and BT have a 15GB limit transfer per month (though I think it's double on 1Meg).

Other than that, as long as your Xbox is networked in some way to your computer then it'll automatically set itself up when you go on Live.

But if the connection will be ready on Friday the only thing we need to wait for is the BB kit to be sent to us.

Then when we get that we will be able to set it up and it'll be ready, wont it?
