I've read, with some amusement I might add, the opening shots between the PS3 advocates and those touting the successor to the X-Box as the beging the next generation of the console war in earnest. In previous episodes of the console wars, I would, by now, have made an informed decision, chose one to endorse myself and be berating the other side.
But this time is different, this time I just don't care which is better, which will have the btter games, which will look cooler. I just can't bring myself to care.
Don't get me wrong, I still look playing console games, but if all the next-gen consoles were canned, I wouldn't care. In years gone by I would already have been frantically figuring out a way to get together £300, or however much they'll be setting you lot back. But now I have a well-paid job and could easily stump up the cash without batting an eyelid and I'm not sure if I will.
Have I lost my passion for the joy of consoles?
(and one of these days I'll remember to log the missus out...)
> Have I lost my passion for the joy of consoles?
> Have I grown up?
The 2 are completely unrelated.
