So there I was all excited about the PS3. It pwns all over the 360, big time. Even if the Killzone demo is pre-rendered, it doesn't matter - Sony won my heart back for the first time since I got Halo on Xbox. In short, after only a few minutes of video, and some text on a website, I'd committed myself to the PS3 even though it isn't out for long time.

But then this morning I saw a rumoured price for it: just under $500, which is about £300 if I'm not mistaken. Yikes. Of course that's just a rumour, but all these things are planned months, sometimes years, in advance, so it's probably a fairly accurate prediction of what to expect to pay. Sony better pull some better games out of their ports if they want my cash.

£299. Makes all the difference, apparently.

Console Addiction?

I reccomend taking a long walk, having a hot bath and (if possible) making love to a beautiful woman, just to get the balance back in your life. After your natural balance is restored, if you're still planning a year and a half in advance then you're a chronic addict and should just go with the flow, it's incurable.

I literally laughed out loud at the PS3's design.

But I'll judge the PS3 on it's games. Even though I'm paying it minimal attention compared to the 360.

The worst thing is, I'm planning about a year and a half before buying a computer games console.

What's wrong with me?

Aww having to pay money to sell your soul - what a deal!

I remember back in the day buying my Saturn on the release date for £310, that was a bargin.

£300 alone isn't too much but when each game is meant to be up £5 to what £35-40 it looks much more expensive.

Going on my past habits I'll not purchase it until they fetch out a FF for it and if the console is still too expensive I'd buy the game and wait for the price to drop.

I've enough unplayed games for PS2 and GC to last me until I die anyway so I'll not rush to buy the newest gadget.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
