i have an x-box and i want 2 go live but i dont want 2 pay ntl any extra money 4 the router they say i need because i want 2 use my pc 4 gaming aswell as my x-box so if any of you can help me could you tell me exactly what i would need 2 buy to fix my little problem.

Dont pay any extra to NTL, you dont need to (i haven't).
Just buy a router somewhere else, like ebuyer, and fit it yourself.
