yeah i really liked this trailer. the moment hideo walked out the door the whole of konami must have gone running after him. it wouldn't be the same without him. although, the trailer only contains ps2 graphics which is rather annoying, considering how each metal gear game before has raised the bar for graphics for it's time.
Ant i think your over critical. the first metal gear was amazing for it's time, but 2 and 3 are very good games too. also we know nothing about 4, u never know it could be incredible.

I'm a huge fan of the series, delighted to hear about this.

I thought that was an excellent video and certainly good news to see Hideous Pyjamas staying in charge. Incidentally, I assume that was the crowd at the unveiling that were laughing during the video, not something programmed into the demo...
