What time does it start tonight? Yes, I'm lazy. I'd rather get someone else to scoot around looking for the timetable. I don't watch tv, and have no tv guide.

3) Das boot.
2) saving Private Ryan
1) Apocalyse Now

1 and 2 I'd diagree with. Das Boot should be No 1.

anyhoo, tell me monkeys! :D :D :D :D

I don't know, I only saw the top 5 or so because I'd been watching MOTD.

Top ten will be Apocolypse Now, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, all the other Vietnam films from the 80s/90s. How are they classing 'war' films? Technically Doctor Strangelove is a war film.

I watched the last hour and a half of Patton last night.

Seen it once or twice before but it's still pretty great.

Saving Private Ryan should get the top spot. I've never been to war, but I'm sure that it looks like that.

I'll be annoyed if Apocalypse Now doesn't at least reach the top ten. The battle scene that culminated with half of a forest being obliterated by napalm missiles was staggering. One of the most impressive things I've ever seen.

Prediction. Das Boot is a masterpice. SPR is the american mainstream attempt. Apocalypse is (fore all its faults) weird enough and self rightious enough to make it to the top spot (by public voting.)

I still stand by that as a version of Heart of Darkness, it's brillianty done.

Never seen Tigerland, apparantly a very good movie. Laughed my ass off last night at the director of Stalingrad justifying it. It's crap.

Is that your predition, or the result? I wasn't surveyed...

Missed it last night, was watching naked Colin Farrel in Tigerland. OK film, and his tiny willy made me feel good about myself.
