My sister got a motorola e398 with a T Mobile contract, and gave it to me, i have a 02 pay as you go sim and when i tried to use it in the phone it asked me to enter a subsidy code, i tried 0000 or 1234 and then the last 4 digits of my number, now it says contact service provider do they mean my 02 or my sisters t mobile?

You'll need it ulocked, but t-mobile give you the codes free after 6 months.
