Well the games are looking good, and it's a promising machine. £200 out of my wallet will be fine for such a cool console.

You have to realise something now!!! It cost companies more to adapt and make consoles for europe than the rest of the world, as they must change the output specs. If they made a totally multi-purpose system then it would cost the same more expensive price all over the world. But American and Japanese companies want to give their own the best deal, as they see it its not their fault Europe uses a PAL television system and 240 volt power systems both running at their respective 50hz, we just have to Grin and bear it!!

im sorry to break this to you guys but the Gamecube will most likely be £200 here in the UK.
We ALWAYS get charged extra for electronics.
the PS2 was $300 in the USA. which translates to a nice sum but we get charged £300.
The Very lowest we can expect is £150 but thats very unlikely.
Still, whats an extra £50 when you think of all the great times we will get out of it.

The only other altenative is to buy one on Import but then you will have to buy import games, but you would get it this year.........

Im not 100% sure about our prices because Nintendo havent confirmed prices for Europe but dont get your hopes up for less than £200 (which is still £100 cheaper than the PS2 is now).

As for the reason for the higher prices, who knows?
i think ir has something to do with converting electronics to PAL.

I always stick to the PAL games anyways, I'm a patient man, but not in the hospital.

the ps2 in the usa would cost about $426 , sounds alot but when you converty that back into pounds you get £299.49 so if you go to the usa and want to buy a ps2 (eventhough it wouldn't work without a load of adaptors) , you could get it for 50p cheaper !!!! WOW ! but you would pay loads to get to the usa and you would fork out alot for the adaptors ! so it isn't really a good idea

If the exchange rate is like that, I wonder how much the PS2 costs in the USA.
