B.A.R have been found guilty of using fuel as ballast and have been banned for 2 races, meaning that they will miss the Spanish Grand Prix and the Monaco Grand Prix. They also lose the 10 points they won for finishing 3rd and 5th in San Marino. They received a fine too.

Button's car failed a check by race stewards but was later reinstated after an explanation was given. The FIA then appealed that decision and were brought up before the disciplinary panel.

Apparently, the B.A.R team have a second fuel tank in their car which must have a certain amount of fuel in to run the car. When this tank was drained after the San Marino Grand Prix, the car was 5kg under the 600kg weight limit.

It's a big blow for the team that finished 2nd in the Constructors Championship last year. Any other infringement within a 6 month period will result in more bans and fines.

I feel more sorry for Kimi than i do BAR. That guy must be fed up of retiring from the lead. He is much better than his statistics show. Would have one 2003 world championship if his engine hadnt blown up while he was in a clear lead at the Nurburgring. I dont think Jenson Button is anything like as good as Kimi, or Alonso or Schuey, he's just been built up as a great driver because he's British.

This is bad.

Because it means Ferrari have a chance to catch up with more points due to the less competition.

This may be a race for a few of the middle teams as 2 big cars are out. They must be absolutely gutted because they looked like they were turning their season around.

I was just about to post this as well!

I think this will make my choice for the Fantasy F1 team a little easier though.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
