Nobody in the real world seems very helpful, so why not jump on the bandwagon here Mr Duck..

Dude! In a few months I graduate, and I don't have a fricking clue!

I'm looking for a career that will accept people with a non-job-specific degree, pays reasonably well and is something that feels enjoyable and worthwhile.

Do they exist? Or am I living in a naive dream that everyone else was birch-slapped out of long ago?

I have a decent 2:1 degree, and soon (hopefully) a MSc. I'm pretty intelligent, and can relocate anywhere that'll have me.

Anyone got any ideas?

Or any web sites that read your soul and fix your life?

I wanted to be a pilot actually, but my eyesight wasn't up to it. Shame though, I could have bagged some serious funding from them while I did my degree :^(

Thought about teaching, but I know someone else who went into it. He spends all his time trying to keep chavs quiet, and hates it.

I was watching something on the BBC this morning about Australia pimping out ther sheilas to attract plumbers and electricians into the country.

I guess the right kind of tradesman can go anywhere in the world, and usually make a decent income.

It'd feel wrong to finish my MSc and take up NVQs though.

RAF. Your skills will be tested more so than any business in need of a graduate.

I fancy working for a charity or probably become a History teacher after a few years.

That's what I'm afraid of *shudder*

More likely is that I'll drift into my part time supermarket work, just as a 'temporary' thing until I find a proper job.

Then 12 years on I'll wake up and find I'm still putting out boxes of fruit and veg at Sainsbury's, and the world has passed me by.

I actually quite like the work for the most part, but maybe that's because I'm only doing 8 hours a week.
Still, having turned down a law career, I think I need something reasonably well paying and stimulating to fill the void.
