Hi,

My laptop software ("powerpoint to dvd maker") nicely burned a brand new dvd with my powerpoint presentation for future commercial use in my business. But i have a problem:
When i play the presentation on my laptop (from powerpoint), all is ok and the 7 page presentation gose from 1st to 7th page and back to 1st page again...always.
But when i view the file on my home dvd (LG DV8600H) watching it on tv,
the program stops on the 7th page and does not go to the 1st page anymore !....how do i activate de "repeating" function on the LG?? i don't think it's a software problem because the test on the laptop is ok !!

urgent ! thanks all

Have you considered calling the LG support line?

You wouldnt get any of the animations from powerpoint if you did it my way. Just thought id best point that out. If you dont have any animations, or dont need them then it would be ok. If you do, then its a choice between animations or a repeat function I suppose.

If you somehow convert each slide into a jpeg picture you can then put 7 jpegs onto a disk and view it as a photo cd.

I dont know the best way to do this seen as Im not great with powerpoint. One way would be to do a "print screen" of each slide. Do a print screen of the first slide, then past it into paint, save as slide1.jpg for example, then repeat for slides 2 -7.

actually the model of my home dvd (LG DV 8600H ...just purchased!)accepts loads of disc formats including dvd,vcd,svcd,dvix,,mp3,audio cd,wma,jpeg....it eve has a photo menu!....so i think it should do the job somehow!...
When i created my presentation, pages from 1to 7 areall in one ppt file....so what do you mean by saying makink separate images?

thanks

I'm not totaly sure what it is you have put on your disk. Is it just a collection of image files or is it an actual powerpoint presentation. If its not images and your DVD playerplayer supports jpegs you could save each slide as a picture and burn the pictures to a disk. My DVD player does slide shows with photos from my digital camera and repeats it (if you turn the repeat function on).

Is it possible to do it with the DVD player?

Not 100% sure but I doubt the DVD version will allow all the features that your computer will allow.
I'd check the software you use though, just incase there is an option to allow this that you haven't selected.
