The Alien Quadrology films pwn all of the other no-hopers into submission. Alien is more of a survival horror than a 'scare the crap out of you' typre film
Others are either too scary, cheesy or just generally overrated. The Alien films have a chique to them and the SFX are unparalleled by the others on that list
They're youre stereotypical teen horror rather than a superb and more adult film, such as Alien. Admittedly the series worsened with each film

8mm (not horror but bloody dis**turbing and disgus**ting)
The Eye (only really when watched on 5.1 sound)
Las**t House on the Left (sick, sick film)
Switchblade Romance (not really too scary but made me want to throw up)
Cannibal Holocaus**t (utterly disgus**ting and horrible film)
Saw (see Switchblade Romance)
