Yes, everyone else has already read it before me and no doubt commented on it as well, but I thought I'd chip in. It's fantastic, Charlie Brooker says everything I feel about television in a more succinct, and let's face it, a much funnier way. If you hate the nonsense of reality TV and CELEBS!!! but aren't afraid to admit to being a bit of a slave to the telly, then he'll speak volumes to you. He's also got the art of the metaphor down cold, even if he has got an obsession with magic whistles, pine cones and Peter Sissons (although not all in the same metaphor).
Here are some of my favourite Brooker moments:
"Davina McCall really is ubiquitous. Last week I glanced in a mirror and was astounded to discover she wasn't hosting my reflection."
"Jim Davidson has all the personality of a discarded ping pong bat floating in a horse's trough."
"Mick Jagger has a face like a wet flannel hanging off a doorknob."
Highly recommended.
