Is there hardware on the market that can be used with a pc instead of a monitor?

If there is what is it called, the cost and what is the quality of graphics, etc. Infact what is the overall quality and clarity of the picture compared to a PC monitor?

Information on this subject would be most welcome and most appreciated.

Thanks in advanc.

Remember that the picture quality on a TV will be much lower - most have only 512 horizontal lines, compared to PC monitors which can handle at least twice that number. This means that it's usually ok for displaying images or some games, but staring at text for any long period of time can be difficult and even painful, depending on the quality of the TV.

I think what your asking is what hardware can plug your pc up to a tv.

check out ati, they are the best for tv output on their graphics cards.
