Its difficult to think about this without comparing Long's face to Bischoff's heel.
What we should really be doing is comparing Bischoff to Long. To be brutally honest, "Teddy" should have stuck to what he did the best:being a referee.
Eric Bischoff is a REAL character on the mic, and there is one reason why he is where he is today:charisma.
Long, to his eternal discredit, is lacking in the charisma department.

If Theodore Long turned heel as Smackdown GM and "EZE" turned face, things would remain the same.

I thought it was a good change to see the heel guys getting decisions aganst them, because when Kurt Angle was GM and he was heel he was screwing all the face people all the time like Eddie Guerrero and John Cena. So i would say that i prefer a face GM...BUT...Eric Bischoff has done a good job as heel because he still makes good matches, however he does seem to be turning slightly more face because he is not kissing Triple H's backside all of the time, although he was quite heel when he made the match between JR and Triple H go ahead. But like before Wrestlemania 21 he stopped Triple H taking the sledgehammer to ringside with him (even though he had another one out there anyways)
All in all i want Teddy Long to hang around for a bit longer. I dont think he would make a very good heel though, after his little stint with Mark Jindrak when he used to jump up and hug him and Jindrak used to parade around the ring with Long locked around his waist.
