"my hod has bin taking over my the purple gang .....WHY??"

i got past the mission where u take over the purple gangs field and got money on groove street, then there was a fight on my hood and i got wasted now there is no green or purple land and my gang has dissapeared and there is no money in groove street. how do i get my gang back and the money icon in groove street?

There aren't any purple sections on the map?
Then just do the mission again.

Just walk into any purple area in the city and kill three Ballas, then kill the three waves and the hood is yours. But you can't walk too far away from the flashing area, or it'll say you fled the fight, if that happens the area will become neutral and you can't claim the territory back.

Right:
Go into a purple area and kill about 3 of the other gang on foot. "Gang War!" will flash on the screen and the area you're in will flash red.

You have to fight off 3 waves of gang members (it does get very hard if you don't have any decent weapons) - when you kill them all, you own the territory that was flashing on the map.
There's hearts and armour placed around the place to help you out.

How do you do that sorry im not all that good at this game

Either do the mission again (if you even can, I think most people managed to do it 1st time) or take over all the territory.
