Basically I have a matrix with entries repeating from bottom left to bottom right, but need a general representation. It'd be greatly appreciated if somebody knows the tag!
My guess would be that it looks something like the other tags for dots such as: \ldots, \cdots, \ddots and \vdots etc...

I know, I do admire it for its speciality in typesetting and layout, but having been thrown into the deep end with a java-latex excercise with a sixth of your module mark depending on it wasn't exactly grounds for a peaceful honeymoon, if you know what I mean.
Also, the "latex is great!" attitude of our lecturer did much to ruin our perception.
FWIW, I don't think it can be done as it's not one of the predefined 4 for dots.
Can you change it by chaning the reading from left-right (ltr) to right-left(rtl)?
