Saw it days ago, but yeah, it was pretty funny.

Oh, and it's not on American TV until May 5th. What you saw was a DVD screener.

I'm literally erect at the prospect of seeing the new series!

The show WAS cancelled, as the begining of the new episode makes clear, but they brought it back due to massive DVD sales. Hurray.

"American Dad" is by Seth MacFarlane too, dunno what it's like thought, but thepilot is floating around on those naughty, naughty torrent sites.

Crap reviews to be honest, and it's basically a rip off of "Family Guy". Each character has a parallel from the previously cancelled show. *shrug* Still might give it a try.

American Dad's fairly rubbish. As you said, it's a carbon copy - there's the dad, the mum, the mutant, the dog, the son and the daughter. I don't think I'll be tuning in. And to rub salt in the wound, Arrested Development Season 2 was cut down to 18 episodes to make way for American Dad >_<
