I got Dogma recently (£2.99 in Virgin) and i am planning on getting Chasing Amy tomorrow (4.99 or 5.99 in Virgin at the moment in their sale if anyone is interested)

Has Jersey Girl, Clerks and Mallrats got Jay and Silent Bob in as well?

You don't have True Romance or Good Will Hunting which are both well worth checking out.

Both.

They're all excellent and up to Dogma are the films that built up to Jay & Bob. Little jokes, plots, loose ends etc are tied up in Strike Back which is really just a farewell to the fans (as it was to be the last in the series...but now we have Clerks 2 coming). It's still an enjoyable film on its own but I'd imagine better after watching the others (can't speak from experience as I watched the others before it).

From your list I suggest you begin with Mallrats.

Then you should be hooked and there's a whole new world of films open to you. Jersey Girl, Drawing Flies, Dazed and Confused*, Slacker*, Now You Know, Vulgar...

Both films of Richard Linklater. Slacker inspired Clerks and Dazed and Confused features many actors from Smith's films. Linklater also made the excelled SubUrbia, Tape, Waking Life, and even School of Rock.

Are these all good films? or is it just ones you need to have seen before you can understand Jay and Silent Bob?

Just noticed you have J&SBSB. You seriously can't have that on it's own. Half of it wouldn't of even made sense to you.

Clerks
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma

...and maybe Jersey Girl.

A lot don't even deserve a rental.

No Coen Brothers.
No Kevin Smith.

Come on.

Glad to see Office Space though. Can't wait until Judge's next, the man hasn't let me down yet.
