Nice, but not HDTV ready I'm affraid... Pixel resolution is too low.

Ahh, that'd be the one then. To me it's just a TV.. :)

Prices should drop. The one we got was over £1000 at first, but dropped right before Christmas to around £500 or something. Maybe Christmas then ;)

At the rate of progression, I can see the prices dropping significantly over the next year or two.

I bloody hope so anyway. The one I'm after is still over £2k :(

She's thinking of LCD or rear projction TVs. Plasma screens are nice and thin and you can view the piccy from any angle.

They're just horribly expensive. But nice. But expensive.

Are you sure you're not talking about Rear Projection TV's? That one in the pic looks like a Rear-Projection.

All the Plasma's I've seen have excellent viewing angles...

Not a fan of them anymore. You have to be in the perfect position to get a great view, if not, the screen is dark.
