Not sure what to think about this. Sometimes there are some very funny moments in the TV shows but there also seem to be an equal (or possibly larger) number of cringeworthy, not funny at all moments. Also, I doubt the character will work as well in a film, half an hour seems to be the right length.

I think they should leave Alan as he is. I think I'm Alan Partridge is the funniest TV series ever and if the film they make is poor then it could taint the series. Another Steve Coogan film like th Parole Officer would be great though.
Never seen it but am willing to buy DVD and try it though i like Steve Coogan so it should be good

I have Series One of I'm Alan Partridge, it's hilarious. I love all the episodes, especially the one with the fan.

New Series:
Cringeworthy, not funny at all moments.
Old Series':
