A mate just put his USB key into my 1.0 port on a Windows 98 Pentium 2. It started looking for drivers and stuff. Do I really need new drivers or what. Cos it said it couldn't find anything and didn't work in the end.

I actually had to install the drivers for mine on XP, it's hard to tell which was being the biggest POS there, my flash drive or win XP.

Yes, you'll need drivers for Windows 98.

On Windows 98, you probably will need drivers for it. You should be able to find some online, or on a CD that came with the USB key.
