can anyone tell me why my ps2 will play black cd's but when you put in a silver disc it clicks and says disc read error...i have cleaned lazer with alchol and swob stick and tried adjusting voltage screw but its still the same if anyone can help it would be great thanks woody
Send it back to Sony anyway and pay £65 for a refurbed one. Call their customer care line to sort it out.
Better yet, buy one of the new version PS2s.
Basically it sounds to me like you've done all that is physically possible to do to correct DREs and your PS2 is beyond further help.
