Drama Script
Cast
Dan Cross- Matt Peacock
Nathan Stuart- Alan Cash
Craig Finlay- Steven Green
Tristan Earl- Lester Mazzoli
Scene One
Two prison guards drag Matt, who is struggling across the stage. He makes an attempt to get free, but there is no luck.
Matt: (yelling) I’m innocent! Innocent!
Guard 1: (chuckling) Sure you are. Most people here are ‘innocent’.
Guard 2: Heh. Yeah, even the murderers.
Matt: I’m telling the truth! I’m innocent! Get a lie detector!
The guards ignore him.
Matt: I didn’t do anything.
The guards begin laughing. Soon they come to a cell and throw him into it. They lock the door and leave.
Matt: Wait! Come back! I’m innocent! Innocent!
He drops to his knees.
Matt: …innocent…innocent…
He passes out.
Scene Two
The other prisoners are back in their cells. There are three chairs, with Matt sat on the floor to the left. Each of the other three represents their prisoner and prison guard. When one is talking, the others are stood as guards.
Alan’s Guard: I hate this place. It’s damp, it’s dark, it reeks of… you don’t wanna know. The pay’s low, and the only reason I’m here fourteen hours a day is because no-one else wants the job, and soon you’ll understand why. Behind these bars lurk some of the nastiest, sick and demented people in the world. Take this guy for example. Alan Cash. The most dangerous man in these walls. He’s here on account of thirteen murders. Psychotic b*****d* shoulda been killed ages ago. But no, he’s still here, sitting smugly on the fact that our law system is so weak that he’ll be out in a few years. Doesn’t stop me making every day a living hell for him though.
