I found something good, if anyone\'s here.
I found something good, if anyone\'s here.
I'm looking for people. I've found a.. thing.
I don't know quite how to explain it, mainly because it's legitimate.
It's an advertising thing, which is run by giving free stuff to people if they
sign up for a free trial offer thing
and
get x friends to do the same.
Then you cancel the trial at no cost, and you're done.
There's a BBC article here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/3683524.stm
And I've got an I-pod list here: edited URL
If anyone wants to get involved, I'd be grateful if you could sign up through my link above, as it gets me 1/9th of the way to an I-pod.
Have people seen this before? This is the first I've heard of it..
Edit to add:
Just to make it clear (reading it back it wasn't):
To sign up for a Free I-Pod - edited URL
I feel like one of those dirty pyramid tards. Except this is genuine (ask the BBC!)
But if i was here, then i would say yes i have seen it before and it is a real offer that costs nothing just a sign-up to a website and then a cancel of the sign-up which you get 15 days for most of the offers to do before you get charged.
Last time someone posted this they where banned but thats because they spammed every forum with it and wan't people to use their reference so they got their i-pod even though it was a 'Just arrived' posting it so he was never going to get people to help him out.
It's a good why for them to advertise i have got people from back home signing up so i can get a free one.
EDIT: you do know that your linking to a different site than the one stated on the BBC article. The site your going to i have never heard of and would consider it doubious(sp?).
Plus the site below you only need 5 people.
The one that i was talking about and the one in the article is:
http://www.freeipods.com
And based in the UK, by the look of it. Or at least applicable to the UK.
Which of the offers did you go for?
You'd be better off doing the Free I-pod offer on the site i posted as it is the one with all the press.
Was it definitely a valid 'completion' when you cancelled immediately?
The site I linked to had screenselect too, but required you to complete the trial period (so they got the first payment from you).
and how do I setup an ipod list for myself?
