I wish the media would stop complaining about the youth system in england. Wales,Scotland and Nothern Ireland have the real problem.
The media keep saying that there are not enough top youngsters in England. But if they bothered opening their eyes they would see that their is plenty of talent. Pennant from Arsenal, Dunn from Blackburn, Jansen from Blackburn, Chadwick (Well that is debatable) from Utd, Christie from Derby, Bramble from Ipswich, and Ball from Everton just to name a few.
And if you look at the youth systems of clubs like Ipswich (Brought through Dyer, Bramble, R.Wright), Man Utd (I won't bother saying the long list!)and Liverpool (Folwer, Owen and Carragher) there youth systems are working well.
I have studied Italian and Spanish Football and many reporters have said that we are langing behind these two nations in the youth development but i believe they are wrong. Italy are lacking Creative YOUNG players but have plenty of Defensive YOUNG players.
Where on the other hand, Spain have a very poor youth system, but at the moment they have a good batch of 25 - 32 age group players which they can rely on.
England are though still behind France, but the sports minister did notice a long time ago that France did not have a top youth system and so they built one and now look at them now. THEY ARE NO TOP OF THE WORLD.
Wales,Scotland and Nothern Ireland need some cash now to fund there very own youth systems so the British Isles could be Football Force.
