I'm not particularly knowledgeable about current football, let alone players from the past, so I'm not exactly in a position to pick the best XI players of all time. Instead I just chose XI of my favourite players who I think would make a good team. It has to be subjective or personalised in some way anyway - if it was based purely on talent then everyone would have the same team.
And besides, although I don't follow his every game, from what I've seen of him recently he can't seem to do anything wrong. You could probably argue that he should be scoring more goals than he is, but since Euro 2004 he's developed into such a team player that he's assisting enough for it not to matter as much.
